NSN, circa 1840-1850, .48 caliber, .38.5"" octagonal barrel. Overall length is 53.75"", stock has a gorgeous tiger stripe pattern with wood loss visible at the breech. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with scattered surface oxidation noted. Lock plate is faintly marked "" R. & W.C. Biddle & Co./ Philadelphia. Action holds at full cock but not at half cock. Consignment
