"George Spangler half stock percussion plains rifle .40 caliber (AL5718)

Description:
"NSN, circa 1850’s-1860’s .40 caliber, 32 ½" octagonal barrel. Bore is good with strong rifling present. Barrel and lock plate are a dark brown patina. Barrel is marked “G. SPANGLER MONROE. /WIS". Tang has a faint “REMINGTON". Lock plate is unmarked, furniture has an attractive aged patina. Full cock only action and single-phase double set triggers function correctly.
