"NSN, .69 caliber 42"" round barrel R. Ashmore full-stock rifle converted to percussion. Ashmore manufactured locks from 1827-1855 and many were exported to America and can be found on Kentucky style rifles. Metal is a smooth brown patina, oxidation noted by the bolster. Wood is good and has been lightly sanded with minor handling wear noted. Action functions correctly
