Very Rare Merrill, Latrobe, Thomas Sporting Rifle. Very rare rifle with faucet breech. Top of breech marked “Jas. H. Merrill, Baltimore Patented 1856". Rifle features the Merrill patent faucet breech and loading lever with charging apparatus under the lever. The rifle is very good plus to excellent overall. Rifle has adjustable double set triggers.
