Breech looks to have a slight varnish with traces of case coloring, and is marked ""J.H. Hall/H.FERRY/US/1831"". Bore shows strong rifling, with light frosting noted. Stock is handsome with areas of raised grain noted. Rifle has been converted from flintlock to percussion. Action holds at half and full cock with a strong main spring noticeable. Hard to improve upon Hall rifle!
