Description: Marked on top of the barrel is "USN RP&P 1845". All markings are good with "N T Ames Springfield MA" marked on the side of the lock. Original brass trigger guard. Correct sling swivel. Brass buttplate. Wood is sound and solid. Mechanics is very good. Brass barrel rings. Barrel retains a considerable amount of brown finish remaining.
