High Grade Wood with Patchbox & Maker Mark

He we present an antique Half Stock American Long Rifle in .34 Caliber, made circa 19th Century. This rifle would have been used primarily for hunting and homestead defense in the early years of American history. It features a fairly long, fully octagonal barrel in .34 caliber. It is also equipped with a patchbox and decorative silver escutcheons. Nice brass hardware throughout. The lock is marked “WARRANTED” and features a scene of wild game. Left side of the barrel stamped “H.BA” inside a box.

The overall condition is near fine. The action is strong. The bore is in very good condition with sharp rifling. Fantastic maple stock. The rifle features escutcheons shaped like fish. Here we have a hunting and fishing themed rifle that would look great above the mantle!
