Antique Parker Circa 1850 large bore plains riflee

Description:
Antique circa 1850 large bore (approximately 58 caliber) Plains rifle. This large bore plains rifle no doubt was made to go west to shoot Buffalo and other large game. The 36 inch Stout octagon barrel smooth bore barrel has both front and rear sights is dark brown with light pitting. The functioning lock is Marked Parker and has the set triggers. The brass but plate is broke and missing the bottom piece. The dark wood stock is solid but has nummerous age drying cracks also a crack in front of the lock which has been glued as well as a brass sheet repair on the left side near the lock screws.
