This Pattern 1856 577 caliber percussion short rifle was made in 1860. The 33\" round barrel has a fair bore with visible rifling. All the metal has a smooth brown patina overall. The brass furniture has an even age patina with a few areas of light roughness. The barrel has a single proof and the 25 bore stamp denoting 577 caliber. The lock is marked 1860 over TOWER at the center and crown over V.R at the tail. The stock is vrey good with light issue dents and dings. The ramrod and front swivel are present. The rear swivel and stud are absent. The action functions correctly. This gun is ready for your British percussion rifle collection. (AL7154)
