Gallager Standard Model Percussion Carbine...Civil War...LAYAWAY?

Description:
SHOOTABLE BORE!.....LAYAWAY?....SERIAL 11144. BARREL 22 1/4". CALIBER 50. Breech loading percussion features round barrel, folding ladder rear sights, iron furniture with patch box, walnut butt stock, saddle ring & bar. Lock stamped Richardson & Overman, Philada/ Gallagers patent July 17th, 1860. Made early 1860's and was widely used in the war. Condition. Metal is overall gun metal gray with age freckles. Stock is very good, proud to metal, with numerous scattered impressions and some hand carved initials. Rear sight ladder is replacement. Gun was on display at a museum and is stamped "1668 c823 " on left side and a brass disc number 42. Bore is strong....2nd firearm ships FREE, with this one!....S/H $60...Thanks, Greg 320-331
