Little Enfield musket
Description:
The Little Enfield is a miniature version of the very popular Civil War Enfield. Belgium toymakers (L&T) produced these in the 1890’s for Civil War veterans to give as gifts to their sons and grandsons. It is .40 caliber and has a 27-1/2” barrel. The entire gun only weighed four pounds, were fully functional and even included a bayonet. Today, these diminutive guns are quite rare and the bayonets are even more scarce since most were long lost. Interestingly, the renowned Confederate arms collector, George Wray, had one in his collection which some say was his favorite gun. This one is in fine condition and includes its original 8” bayonet. Price is FIRM!
