Note: This percussion back-action, sidelock, 8 bore rifle lacks any maker's name. However, we suspect this was a tiger gun used in India as the overlay silver embellishments at the muzzle and breech end of the octagonal barrel suggest. The stock shows four professional wood repairs done over the years. For its age, the bore has a nice luster, accentuating the early version of a micro-groove barrel (12 lands and grooves). If this gun could only talk!
