Here's a Excellent Example of the Holy Grail of Remington Cane Guns ! Ball & Claw 1st model Remington Arms Co. made ! Designed by Madter Mechanic for Remington Arms Company John F. Thomas Patent made by Remington. Patented in 1858 . With less than only 500 made ! 31 caliber . Measures Apx . 32.8".Overall in Excellent condition with a slight crack repair to the outside material on the cane . Small crack in the material and filled in . Looks like it was done in the period. The rest of the Cane is in excellent condition. Serial number 122. Gun is in excellent working condition. Great shootble bore . With some fire blue still remaining on the metal on loading area .
