Young Man's Percussion Musket

Description:
A .45 cal.,musket with a  35 1/4” round barrel with a dark bore. The metal surfaces are a pleasing mottled brown patina with thin traces of original blue and gray, the occasional spot of oxidation, impact mark and a more prominent wing-shaped impact mark in the left side of the breech. The walnut stock remains in near excellent condition featuring a fancy raised comb and the typical light handling marks in a nice reddish-brown finish. There is a  and the center barrel band spring is no longer present. The arm is equipped with a v-notch rear sight, fixed ramp front sight and what appears to be a proper iron button tipped ramrod. Overall, not usally found is a child's musket, and the nipple is a modern replacement
