GERMAN BOYS RIFLE - IN A ROYAL ARMORY - 3 LBS 2 OZ
Description: Here is an German Antique Boys Ball Rifle most likely from the 1830 - 1850 time period. This single shot diminutive gun weighs a mere 3 LBS 2 OZ and has a 38" overall length. Barrel is 24 1/2" and measures about 54/1000. Lock functions perfectly and has a stalking safety at half cock. Full stock with a Bavarian cheek piece. LOP is 11 3/4". The maker Muller was located in Zella Mehlis Gun Making Region of Germany. Original condition throughout. Royal Crest located on top tang. The use of Royal Crests were highly regulated during this time period and you could not just add one by law. Most likely this gun was part of a Royal Armory on a hunting estate and was used by a young prince. As an antique this gun can be shipped directly unless local law prohibits (No NJ or NYC). Shipping is $75 and the gun will be shipped in a hard case for extra protection. SOLD Antique: Yes |
