Description:
Massachusetts Arms Co. Maynard Carbine, chambered in .50 Cal. Features include: single shot, breech loader, sling swivel on left side of frame only, 20 in. round tip down barrel, tang sight, blue finish, case colored frame, walnut stock, no patch box, square buttplate, serpentine action lever. This carbine has some decent wear but mechanically is sound. The hammer pulls back both clicks and goes forward when the trigger is pulled. The serpentine lever is in good order and does not hang open, plus the barrel tips open smoothly. Bore has good sharp lines with mild pitting halfway. The 2 piece stock shows various scuffs, dents, and scratches but no major cracks. You can see both the cartouches on the left side of the stock, one is AJN, and the other is JM, both inside their boxes. The receiver is where most of the pitting is present and also on the top part of the barrel and rear sights. The right side of the receiver still has part of the patent info and the serial number of 5549 on the bottom tang is easily visible. .50 Caliber
