Springfield Model 1870 Carbine Trapdoor 50-70 Antique Description This is a Springfield Model 1870 Carbine chambered in caliber 50-70, the finish is in nice condition with the presence of patina and wear typical for a firearm of this age and type, the furniture is in excellent condition with use evidence, the bore is in good condition, reflects light and has thin rifling; 22-inch barrel length. Metal 

Condition: In great condition, with patina, wear and use evidence typical for this type of firearms Stock is in good condition but has been refinished at some time - there is a faint outline of the "ESA" cartouche present on the left side under the saddle ring bar and period markings by previous owners..

This rifle has been test-fired with 6 rounds. Though I did not have a paper target, it did place shots where I was aiming at 50 yards. Action: Functions as designed No Serial Number This is a nice rifle.

1870 Carbines are so rare I doubt this is an original, but if not, it is really well done. Much better than buying a reproduction.

I must rush this as I will be out of the country in 3 weeks. Within that time if you are not 100% happy with this rifle within a 3-day inspection, I will refund the purchase price.
