Description: "Beautiful Percussion Target Rifle Signed F.W. Moritz in Gold and Outlined in Silver. F.W. Meritz worked in Leipzig, Germany (Saxony) circa 1845. Under the barrel is marked “Tunius". Bore is .60 caliber. Barrel length is 28½" and overall is 45". Barrel is marked “Inglicsh Casting Steel". Lock is signed F.W. Moritz. The cock employs a blocking safety. The action is a right and left side feature. The left-side plate is marked “In Leipzig" and on the right side-side plate it is marked ""FN Moriz"". The top of the action at the Tang is marked “Stabrow" in gold with silver surrounding. The action-locks and breech are all outlined in silver. The trigger guard bow depicts a hunter with rifle sitting on a rock in a forest, the cameo surrounded in silver. The patch box has St. George slaying a dragon in silver with his lance in gold. The patch box is outlined in silver. The front sight is accented by silver leaves surrounding the sight. This fine rifle has adjustable set triggers. The bore is excellent.
