This new old stock. please look at the pictures. The upper and all parts are new but may show minor handling marks etc due to age. There is nothing visible that I saw but please check the pictures. This upper and lower have NOT been fired. This is a combination put together by US Armament the original designer/manufacturer the worked on the original design. The barrel has Colt markings and US armament markings.
This gun consist of a prototype Colt IAR upper (Infantry Assault Rifle) receiver. The IAR was submitted to the Marines for evaluation but lost out to HK. These original Colt uppers are all that’s left of the program. This upper is paired up with a Colt M4 lower, factory Colt BCG, GPS grip pod systems front grip/Bipod and VLTOR STOCK. I’m told this combination is the way it would’ve been issued to the US military had the program gone forward. Please look at the pictures and checkout the Defense review articles about the IAR. Rare chance to own some Colt memorabilia. We use some of these prototype UPPER’s on our full auto M-16s and they function flawlessly. I’m not sure how many of these are in circulation paired up with Colt M4 lowers and the original components but I would think we have the only ones left??
