Auto-Ordnance Model 1927A1 American Historical Foundation Korean War Commemorative Thompson Semi-Auto Carbine. SN KW1473. Cal. 45 ACP. Usual Thompson configuration with 18" round barrel including Gold Cutts Compensator. Rear half of barrel has cooling fins. Mounted with very highly finished uncheckered walnut-stained hardwood with rectangular forearm that has grasping grooves, a grooved pistol grip & detachable shoulder stock. Forearm & buttstock have sling loops. Left side of frame has usual manufacturer's name & address & patent numbers plus the American Historical Foundation information. Right side of frame has an inscribed, gold washed 48-star American flag at rear edge & a small medallion at front edge inscribed "KOREAN SERVICE".
