- 30" barrel vice the shorter length used in most pistol caliber cartridges
- marked 44W, for 44 WCF ...a caliber Ballard did offer but only in limited numbers.
- Beech Folding globe front sight
- original gallery tang sight, and again the tall one vs the more common shorter sight staff.
- rifle has a perfect bore
- has the ebony forearm wood insert found typically on special order requests
- The wood has its original finish.
