Ultra Rare Ball & Willams Ballard Patent/Nov. 5. 1861, 38 Rim Fire
Description: Ultra rare Ball & Williams Ballard Patent Nov. 5. 1861. This is #79 of less than 100 that were made. In all of my searching I haven't located a picture of this rifle. If you are a collector of Civil War era guns, this is a must have rifle. I have included a picture of the Patent drawing showing the short lever. It has a 24 inch octagon barrel in 38 cal. rim fire. This rifle has seen some use, and could have been used in the Civil War. The stock is adorned with what appears to be Mother of Pearl and Copper medallions. There are also brass tacked initials on the stock. The metal blueing has turned to a brown patina. However, the metal is in very good condition. The bore although dark, has very prominent rifiling. It has a fixed rear sight with an adjustable front sight. This is an antique that doesn't require any Federal paperwork. Although, please be aware if your State has requirements for all firearms including antiques. Please ask questions as there are no returns unless not as described. $2,495.00 - Shipping Included.
