Impressive FN Mauser-Action Bench-Rest Target Rifle in .222 Remington

Description:
Serial #A5894, .222 Remington, 30" extra heavy target barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very large rifle, weighing in at just over 19 lbs., and has the barrel, receiver, and bolt in-the-white. Some traces of original fire blue are visible on the bolt latch, with the balance turned dark plum-brown. A mottled plum-brown patina is also present on the trigger guard, however the scope blocks retain nearly all of their original blue. The massive wood laminate stock has a blocky, squared forend; curved pistol-grip; and a contoured buttstock with rollover cheek-piece, and red acrylic plastic buttplate with machine-carved initials: "JJS". The rifle is housed in a homemade wooden case that measures 53 1/8" x 12" x 5" (closed), and has three compartments. The rifle compartment is lined with blocks of foam rubber, and two leather security straps are also fitted. Also included are a set of reloading dies, and approximately 75 .222 Rem. brass cases. This is an excellent example of a purpose-built bench-rest target rifle. FFL
