Based on the ubiquitous Rem 700 action, the 2020 Waypoint is compatible with all R700 short action scope bases, triggers, and stocks. It differs from a basic Rem 700 by its integral recoil lug and oversized ejection port, and external bolt release. Additional features include a spiral fluted bolt, straight fluted barrel, TriggerTech Field trigger, and AICS magazine compatible bottom metal. The camouflaged carbon fiber stock is appointed with 5x QD sockets, 3x MLOK slots on the forend's 6 o'clock, and a rubber buttpad. .308 Winchester
