Schuetzen Flobert Parlor Rifle .22 short Belgian Origin
Description:
Up for your consideration is this stunning Belgian Flobert action rifle. This rifle is set in a Schuetzen style Tiger Walnut stock with deep cut checkering and a very nice monte carlo style cheekrest. The Schuetzen style also continues to the butt of the rifle, where a case colored extended buttplate lies. The receiver and other small parts like the trigger guard and sights are all case colored. The Action of this parlor rifle is a Flobert style single shot lifter action. This firearm is chambered for a .22 short rimfire cartridge. The 22in octagonal barrel is in great condition with very little pitting and only a slight amount of fading of the blue along the lines of the octagon. The bore and chamber are in excellent condition with the bore being bright and clean and the rifling being deep cut and fully in tact. The trigger guard is elegant with gothic styling and of course as common on parlor guns 2 triggers, one a set trigger and the other the main firing trigger. The rifle features normal sights with the blade front and notched style rear sights, but is also fitted with a 2in diameter dished peep sight which of course is case colored. The flaws with this firearm are as followed. The stock has a crack in it along the grip but is not structurally damaged, the buttplate is slightly pitted with light rust. There are no major proofmarks aside from a few Belgian nitro proofs.
