Description:
The Blaser R8 is a German-made straight-pull bolt-action hunting rifle manufactured by Blaser Jagdwaffen GmbH and introduced in 2008 as the successor to the R93.
It’s widely regarded as a premium European hunting system, not just a rifle.

Key Design Features
Straight-Pull Action
Unlike traditional bolt guns:

No bolt lift or rotation.
Shooter simply pulls straight back and pushes forward.
Allows very fast follow-up shots while keeping the rifle on target.

The bolt locks using a radial collet system that expands into the barrel for 360° lock-up strength.
Modular Rifle System
The R8 is famous for its modularity:

Quick-change barrels (swap calibers in minutes)
Interchangeable bolt heads
Multiple stock styles
Barrel-mounted scope system that maintains zero when removed

One receiver can handle cartridges from small varmint rounds up to dangerous-game calibers.
Manual Cocking Safety
Instead of a traditional safety:

Rifle remains uncocked until you push the rear slider forward.
Many hunters consider this one of the safest hunting systems available.

Magazine / Trigger Unit
Unique feature:

Magazine and trigger come out as one removable unit.
