The Blaser R8 is the most modular rifle on the market today, allowing the user to reconfigure the rifle in approximately 20 seconds to most any caliber from .223 Rem to .458 Lott, and most every caliber in between to include .338 Lapua. Barrels, bolts, magazines, and barrels are available a-la-carte, as are the receiver/stock units. Best of all, the scope stays attached to the barrel which allows application-specific optics to be used with each caliber; this maximizes the versatility and capability of the rifle. Additionally, the R8 routinely shoots ½” groups at 100 yards with appropriate ammunition. Pictured here is the Blaser R8 Kilombero, the safari-specific configuration with a traditional wood stock, recoil reducer inside the buttstock, heavy profile barrel, and a fully steel receiver. These features combine to make a well-balanced rifle that is weighted to absorb heavy recoil. This rifle has dark grade 4 wood and is chambered for .458 Lott. Weight is 10lbs, 12oz before adding an optic.
