Here we present a C&R Pre-World War II era Czechoslovakian Vz. 24 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle made circa the late-1930s by ?eská Zbrojovka in Brno, Czechoslovakia. The vz. 24 rifle is a bolt-action carbine designed and produced in Czechoslovakia from 1924 to 1942. It was developed from the German Mauser Gewehr 98 line and features a very similar bolt design.

Zbrojovka Brno was a state-owned armament factory and was a maker of small arms, light artillery, and motor vehicles in Brno, Czechoslovakia. During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, Zbrojovka Brno produced weapons for the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS. In 1944, the factory was severely damaged in the bombing of Brno and was not rebuilt until after liberation by the allies.

This rifle has been transformed from its original military configuration to a premium hunting rifling. It is now chambered in 7x57 Mauser, fitted with scope mount and rings, and restocked with a Monte Carlo variant stock. The magazine metal has been engraved. The action has been worked to make the trigger pull lighter and shorter.

Overall condition is near fine. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The stock is in fantastic shape. A handsome rifle!
