Manufactured in 1969 on a Sako action without sights, standard markings and Belgian proofs, 2 inch wedges of scroll engraving on the barrel at the breech, French gray finished receiver with factory drilled and tapped holes. The receiver has fine scroll engraving on the rail and bridge and American game animal scenes on the ring with a prong horn antelope on the right and a white tail deer on the left. The left scene is signed "AMARECHAL"(Alfonse Marechal). The trigger guard and floorplate are engraved to match with a cougar on the plate and mountain goat on the guard. The floorplate is signed "LLAMBERT"(Lilly Lambert), and the guard is signed "LL". Walnut pistol grip stock with foliate carving bordering the checkering, contrasting forend and grip caps, inlaid brass diamond on the grip cap, raised cheek piece, and Browning butt plate. This fine rifle shows no sign of salt wood. The wood to metal has been inspected under magnification and is clean and smooth as can be. .243 Winchester
