1971 Vintage Customized Browning Safari Grade Rifle in .375 H&H Magnum
** Excellent Dangerous Game Rifle **
Description:
This is a very interesting customized Belgian Browning Safari Grade High Power rifle originally made in 1971. At some point along the way it was refinished with a rust blue finish and re-stocked into a full fiberglass stock. There does not appear to be any pitting or major imperfections under the rust bluing, and all of the factory stampings are still crisp and clear. We took it out of the stock to check the metal underneath and it is clean and free from pitting as well, indicating that this was NOT a "salt gun". This custom Browning Safari Grade High Power rifle features a Sako action that is factory drilled and tapped for optics, an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, a 2-position tang-mounted safety, factory iron sights with an adjustable rear sight, a 24" inch inch barrel, and a full-fiberglass stock with two recoil lugs, sling swivel studs, and a Decelerator recoil pad. This Browning has an excellent bore with no visible pitting or imperfections and nice strong rifling throughout. The action on this rifle is slick and smooth and it locks into battery perfectly with no slop. All of the controls on this Browning are in perfect working order, and we have no doubt it will shoot reliably and accurately. The .375 H&H Magnum chambering and all-weather stock on this rifle make it an excellent choice for someone that hunts big game in areas with inclement weather where Brown bears live, or a dedicated dangerous game rifle.
