Here is an opportunity to buy a very special engraved gun by renowned master engraver, Angelo Bee. Angelo Bee has always been an admirer of John M. Browning and had the wonderful opportunity to work in the factory that he founded, Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal Belgium, first as a tool maker, then as an engraving apprentice and finally as an engraver from 1951 to 1975. Over the years, he engraved quite a few “trombones” so in 2022, he wanted to do a tribute gun to John Browning to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his invention of the “trombone”, a gun he designed in 1922. This unique and beautiful specimen is a one of one so the trigger guard has “1/1” in gold inlay with scroll work around it. He collaborated on this gun with Rocco Capece, a Belgian engraver. The left side of the receiver has a portrait of John M. Browning surrounded by beautiful German influenced scroll work. The top of the receiver has the FN symbol with 1889, which is when John M. Browning started producing guns at the factory, surrounded by beautiful German influenced scroll work. The right side of the receiver has FN and Fabrique Nationale in yellow gold surrounded by beautiful German influenced scroll work. The stock is made of a gorgeous walnut with round knob pistol grip with fine checkering at 26 lines per inch. This special gun has no butt plate. Instead, the butt stock is checkered with a Scottish design. The gun is autographed with “Abee”, the bee symbol and Capece on the bottom left of the receiver next to the trigger guard. The stock is a rich walnut with fine checkering by Donnie Gemes. The finish is by Eubanks Gunsmithing. NRA Grade: Excellent.
