For Sale is a 1961 Wheel Sight FN Browning 22 Single Action, Rimfire Rifel Grade I.   The Browning 22 Automatic rifle is uniquely different from all other on the American Market.  You will find it a rifle that makes the most of neat slender lines. It is light weight and fine balanced.  This 1961 model is the last year that Browning put a wheel sight on a 22 rifle.  Mr. Browning made the wheel sight to be a great design to enable the hunter to adjust quickly when targets change in distance. It is the kind of small rifle either beginnner or expert can enjoy shooting.   This autoloader will rise and settle into the firing position with amazing ease.  It will stay on target under rapid fire conditions.  This is the rifle that will give you the speed you need for small fast moving targets.  This little beauty has beautiful lines that blend with the polished American walnut wood that makes up the forearm and stock.  The magazine is located in the stock so the muzzle points away from you when loading.  The slender solid steel reciever is completly closed on the top and both sides.  The only opening is through the bottom of the reciever, and that is covered by a trigger plate.  The empty cartridges and any harmful gases are directed downward through a small hole aperture in the trigger plate away from the shooter or bystanders.  The Grade I is engraved with a scroll design, and a polish blue finish.   There is a manuel trigger blocking mounted on the trigger guard. This model of Browning can be quickly taken down from the reciever and barrel to a compact length of only 19 inches for storage and packing.  The barrel i tapered and blued to accept a scope mount.  This gun has one little spot on the barrel where blueing has worn thin probably due to hanging on a gun rack for years (See Photos) the rest of the blueing is very nice.  This gun comes with the wheel sight for shooting making it easy for quick adjustments to shooting when needed.      Serial Number 19540  If interested, call 316-494-2702.
