Up for sale is a beautiful, limited addition (500 made), 20ga/.30-06 Browning Superposed Superlight Centennial shotgun/rifle with 26 ½ inch shotgun barrels and 24-inch rifle barrels. This gun was manufactured in 1978 and features serial number 1878C-283. The engraving motif was created by Louis Vranken and was engraved by Edovard Vos (“E. Vos”) whose signature can be seen on both the left and right sides of the receiver. The 20ga. barrels are as new and feature a ventilated rib with a medium raised German nickel silver front sight bead. The shotgun barrels are choked Modified/Full, and the receiver is chambered for 3-inch shells. The .30-06 barrels are also as new and feature a folding leaf adjustable rear site and a raised ramp front site. The receiver features a gold inlayed Elk on the left side and a gold inlayed quail in flight on the right side. The bottom of the receiver features a likeness of John M. Browning and the script “Browning Centennial”. The straight grip stock and the two Schnabel forends are made of beautifully figured oil finished walnut, are finely checkered and are in near original condition. This gun features a single selective trigger, auto ejectors and engraved long tang trigger guard and its original Browning butt pad. The shotgun weighs in at 5lbs 14oz, has a LOP of 14 1/4” with a DAC of 1 3/8” and DAH of 2 1/4”. With the rifle barrel it weighs 6lbs 14oz, the DAC is 1 11/16” and the DAH 2 1/2”. This is a lovely combination gun in near new condition with only very light handling marks. This also includes a letter of authentication from the Browning Historical Department.
