For sale is a Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter bolt-action rifle, chambered in the versatile and proven .308 Winchester cartridge. This rifle is in good used condition and represents the next generation of Browning's legendary hunting rifle – hard-working, rugged, and accurate. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting – no scope is included.
The X-Bolt 2 Hunter builds on the success of the original X-Bolt with significant upgrades. The receiver is slightly beefier (about 1mm thicker), providing more steel and a larger surface area for the bolt to ride on – this stops binding and results in a much smoother action. The rifle features bold spiral bolt fluting and a redesigned, larger ergonomic bolt handle for faster reloads. The new DLX trigger replaces the original Feather Trigger – it uses a higher pivot point for a crisper, lighter break (user-adjustable down to about 3 pounds) with minimal creep or overtravel.
The X-Bolt 2 Hunter features a non-reflective matte blued finish on the solid steel receiver and barrel, paired with a satin finish checkered walnut stock and an Inflex 1.25 recoil pad. It has a 22-inch sporter contour barrel (1:10 twist) and a detachable rotary magazine (4-round capacity). The overall length is 42 inches and weight is 6 lbs 9 oz.
