With its introduction, the Browning X-Bolt set a new standard in the development of bolt-action rifles. It was the first that was designed from the start with one goal: Total Accuracy. From the design of the recoil pad to the adjustable trigger to the construction of the barrel, nearly every feature contributes to aiding the rifle, and you, shoot more accurately. The design of the steel receiver reduces weight without sacrificing an ounce of strength. The three-lever Feather Trigger provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep, minimal overtravel and is adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs. (Factory pre-set at approximately 3-1/2 to 4 lbs.) The alloy trigger housing contains hard chromed steel components that are highly polished on all critical contact surfaces. Every X-Bolt action is bedded into the stock at the front and rear action screws and recoil lug for a true free-floating barrel. X-Lock mounts feature a four screws-per-base design that replaces the traditional two screw system to offer more accurate placement and more secure attachment to the receiver. The Inflex recoil pad features internal directional ribs that move the comb down and away from the cheek to increase shooting comfort. .300 Winchester Magnum
