The Winchester Model 1886 was designed by firearms genius John Moses Browning who created a rifle capable of firing the heavy hitting cartridges of the period – notably the 45-70 Government. The action was originally designed for use with black powder cartridges but has such inherent strength that it was easily capable of handling smokeless powder cartridges too. This Deluxe Rifle is a perfect balance of heavy hitting performance, this example chambered for 45-90, and exceptional workmanship allied with modern metallurgy and engineering. This gun was built in 2000 by the Japanese firm of Miroku for Browning, it is unfired and is complete with its factory shipping box and papers. The rifle features a Color case hardened receiver, crescent buttplate, lever, fore-end cap, and grip cap. A 24” blued octagonal barrel with full length magazine (8 round capacity) perfectly compliments the case color and rich walnut furniture. Hand cut checkering and perfect wood to metal is the icing on the cake! The Model 1886 Deluxe rifles produced by Miroku/Browning are held in high esteem with a second-to-none reputation for quality.  Historical good looks with modern day reliability add up to a stunning package.
