Description:
PENDING SALE-This is one of the Browning 1885 single-shot rifles, chambered in the classic Winchester 270 round. The sale will include the original factory box as well as a set of Browning-marked bases and rings.

The 1885 rifles are well-finished with high-grade wood with a mirror gloss finish and deep gloss bluing. This rifle has a couple very slight marks, but is in near-perfect condition.

Thes Browning 1885 is a falling-block single shot action with an exposed hammer. The barrel is octagonal and is a full 28" in length. Loading with slower-borning powders to maximize the exztra barrel length can bring the ballistics up to 270 Wby or WSM levels or more quite easily.
