Description: BROWNING 1885 .45-70 "BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGE RIFLE" WITH 30" HEAVY 1/2 OCTAGON BARREL. This rifle has seen very limited to no use and is stocked in a gorgeous piece of oil finished extra fancy pistol gripped and sharply checkered dense walnut with cheek piece. The action and checkered steel shotgun butt plate are case colored. The upper tang is factory drilled and tapped for a tang sight, but there is no tang sight included. The front sight is a spirit level globe that will accept inserts that are not included. The rifle also comes with the original Browning box as well as the supplied Browning lock and new, in package Leupold scope bases- these rifles came factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. These are now difficult rifles to find and this one has spectacular walnut.
