Browning 1885 Hi-Wall 45-90 Creedmoor/Creedmore BPCR
Description: This is one of the hard to find Browning Model 1885 High Wall .45-90 Creedmoor BPCRs. It was completely checked out, cleaned, and is in very nice condition. Ignoring one tiny safe ding in the forearm, the attractive wood is perfect. There are very light scratches on both sides of the receiver which are way too small to show up in the photos. The chamber and bore are perfect. Only 330 Browning Creedmoor rifles were made in 1998 for the USA and Canadian market. This is rifle number 213. It’s an “out-of-the-box” rifle ready for silhouette and long-range Creedmoor competition. Designed for longer range shooting in adverse wind conditions, it’s chambered for the .45-90 Winchester cartridge and features a ½ octagon ½ round 34” Badger barrel, rear tang soule sight and windage adjustable front sight. The rifling twist rate is 1 in 18. It will also fire the .45-70 Gov. cartridge. The rear Browning vernier soule tang sight comes with one eyecup and an unused set of 8 interchangeable front sight inserts. I recommend purchasing a Hadley-style adjustable aperture eyecup. The front top of the receiver and rear of the barrel are drilled and tapped to install bases for a modern scope if desired. On a very accurate postage scale the rifle weighs 12 lbs 1.2 oz with the sights and eyecup installed. It will be shipped in a new soft rifle case with a copy of the owner’s manual. Please note, for competitive match shooting a Lee Shaver sear kit has been installed, reducing the trigger pull to a very crisp and easily adjustable range of 1lb 12oz to 1lb 5oz. The original trigger spring is included to increase the pull weight if the rifle is used for hunting. I SELL TO CALIFORNIA BUYERS FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Layaway is available for an additional $50. Layaway requires 1/3 down immediately, 1/3 in 30 days and the balance in 60 days. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND ON CANCELED OR UNCOMPLETED LAYAWAYS. The rifle will be shipped after the final payment is received. A signed copy of your dealer’s FFL will be required with their phone number. The rifle will be shipped to the address on the FFL. Shipping and handling is $75.00 (CONUS only), which also covers full insurance. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will require an additional charge. I only ship FedEx ground fully insured. For immediate shipping US Postal Service money orders are required. Certified cashier’s checks will delay shipping 5 business days. A phone number is required to contact the issuer of a cashier's check for verification. No other forms of payment are accepted. Specializing in Browning and Winchester BPCR's, the rifles are displayed and described as accurately as possible and I have not had a dissatisfied customer. As a seller of scores of Browning and Winchester BPCRs and publisher of a book on the rifles, you can trust that each rifle new or used has been fully checked out and is in the conditioned advertised. THE PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL RIFLE BEING SOLD. To order the book please search the Internet for "TexasMac's Browning BPCR Book". Thanks. SOLD Rifle Caliber: .45-90 Winchester |
