BROWNING MODEL
1885 SINGLE SHOT, 22-250 with LEUPOLD 6.5-20X VARI-X III SCOPE
SALE PENDING
Description:
Beautiful BROWNING 1885 Rifle in 22-250. It comes with a Leupold 6.5 X 20 Vari-X III scope that looks brand new. The rifle is in excellent shape with virtually no wear on the bluing. According to the serial number, this one was made 30 years ago in 1995. The Walnut stock is really nice with some fiddleback in the buttstock. It is checkered in the original Winchester checkering pattern. There are a couple of small marks on the stock finish, most noticeable on the left side of the forearm just in front of the receiver. Other than that the stock is nearly perfect. The photos tell the story. This one has not been fired very much and the bore appears perfect. The falling block action works crisply, and I really like the exposed hammer. It has a octagon barrelthat measures 28 inches long. You should get some great velocity from this long barrel. Even with the long barrel, the rifle is shorter than most bolt actions with 24" barrels. The Leupold scope looks new and the optics are perfect. It has the fine plex crosshair that is really helpful when aiming at small ground squirrels at long range. I think that you will be very impressed with this one, especially with the scope.
Please look over the photos carefully and contact me with any questions. Thanks for Looking!
