For sale is a beautiful and highly collectible 1974 Browning BL-22 Grade II lever-action rifle in .22 LR. 

This is one of the very early production models, all of which were manufactured in Japan (Miroku), and these early year examples stand out with genuine hand-engraved receivers, hand checkered, and noticeably nicer walnut stocks—features that set them apart from many later BL-22s.

The Grade II designation brings the classic scroll engraving on the receiver (hand-cut in these early guns), a gold plated trigger, finely checkered walnut stock and forearm, and that legendary short 33-degree lever throw for fast, smooth cycling without removing your hand from the grip. 

Tubular magazine holds 15 Long Rifle rounds (or mixtures of Short/Long/LR), with easy loading from the front.

This particular rifle is in excellent overall condition—no cracks, no major scratches, no rust, no mechanical issues, and an excellent bore. 

The bluing remains strong and even, the wood shows rich figure and color with only light handling marks consistent with its age (no abuse or heavy wear). 

It functions flawlessly, as these BL-22s are known for their reliability and quality craftsmanship.

A fantastic shooter and a desirable piece for any Browning lever-action or vintage rimfire collection. 

These early hand-engraved Grade II's don't come around often in this shape.
