Browning 1885 High Wall .45-70 BPCR
Description: The rifle has been fired but is in very nice condition. It features a heavy 30" (1/2 octagon 1/2 round) Badger barrel, Browning rear soule sight & spirit level front sight. The Badger barrel has 8-groove right hand twist rifling with a 1:18 twist rate. The rear soule sight comes in the factory plastic box with 3 eyecups, two rear sight mounting screws & 7 interchangeable front sight inserts. Eyecup aperture (hole) sizes are 0.052”, 0.064”, & 0.073”. The rifle will be shipped in a plastic padded rifle case with the sight box, rifle owner’s manual & sight owner’s manual. The rifle was completely checked out & cleaned. The action was not dirty & shows no signs of wear. The chamber & bore are perfect. There are no dings or scratches on the metal & only one small ding on the forearm. It may have been a “safe queen”. Miroku only manufactured the BPC rifles for Browning from 1996 thru 1998. This rifle was manufactured in 1997. It features the redesigned crown & extractor. On a very accurate postage scale, the rifle weighs 11 lbs 6 oz with the sights & the eyecup installed. I measure the trigger pull at 1lb 13oz so the previous owner apparently had the trigger worked on since the factory pull weight is typically around 4lbs. NOTE - I SELL TO CALIFORNIA BUYERS FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. ALSO NOTE - A layaway option is available for an additional $50.00. Layaway requires 1/3 down immediately, 1/3 in 30 days & the balance in 60 days. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND ON CANCELED OR UNCOMPLETED LAYAWAYS. The rifle will be shipped after the final payment is received. A signed copy of your dealer’s FFL will be required with their phone number. The rifle will be shipped to the address on the FFL. Shipping & handling is $75.00 (CONUS only), which also covers full insurance. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will require an additional charge. I only ship FedEx ground fully insured. For immediate shipping US Postal Service money orders are required. Certified cashier’s checks will delay shipping 5 business days. A phone number is required to contact the issuer of a cashier's check for verification. No other forms of payment are accepted. Specializing in Browning and Winchester BPCR's, the rifles are displayed and described as accurately as possible and I have not had a dissatisfied customer. As a seller of scores of Browning and Winchester BPCRs, and having written and published a book on the rifles, you can trust that each rifle, new or used has been fully checked out and is in the conditioned advertised. THE PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL RIFLE BEING SOLD. SOLD Rifle Caliber: .45-70 Government |
