One of the finest, closest to the original, reproductions of this classic lever gun available. No tang safety as on the more recent Winchester 1886's. Famously designed by John Browning and manufactured by Winchester for many years. Original 1886 rifles bring multiple thousands of dollars and are difficult to find. This gun was manufactured by Miroku in Japan for only 2 years 1992 and 1993. This one is perfect for a using gun, having sling swivels added and some very minor handeling marks on the wood. Minor figure near the butt of the stock. Beautiful deep blue on all metal with only one small rub spot on the front barrel band and blueing wear on the butt plate. It is not a collector piece. This is a gun to hunt or carry for dangerous game. Strong action can handle any commercially available ammo out there. Pictures should give you a good indication of condition.
