Description:
Manufactured in 1917. This is an original SHT. L.E III (later renamed the SMLE No. 1 Mk. III) that was sporterized post World War I. The rifle's receiver and overall action is original apart from the shortening of the forend and 25" sporting barrel, which shows significant pitting but has strong rifling. The receiver, bolt, and magazine have remained in great condition with sound mechanics should the rifle be intended for parts or restoration. No extras are included. Chambered in .303 British. .303 British
