Description:
The Birmingham Small Arms Company Ltd. (BSA) Martini Target Rifle is a precision-built smallbore rifle that embodies the craftsmanship and engineering excellence associated with British target shooting in the early 20th century. Based on the famous Martini-Henry falling-block action, the Martini was purpose-built as a .22 caliber target rifle and quickly gained popularity in both civilian and cadet training programs. Its compact size, robust action, and exceptional accuracy made it a natural choice for competitive shooting at ranges up to 100 yards, where it was often seen on firing lines. The 29" target barrel, combined with fine aperture sights and a carefully crafted stock, gave the shooter stability and repeatability, qualities highly prized in precision marksmanship. The rifle's .22 rimfire chambering also made it economical for regular practice, which contributed to its long service life in training environments.
