Made during the post Battle of Omdurman and re-conquest of the Upper Nile to arm the Egyptian Constabulary. Original 1885 dated Royal Ordnance inspected 500/450 Martini Henry rifle converted to .303 British with 21” barrel. Right side of receiver with the original B.S.A. & M. (Birmingtham Small Arms) markings and the left with the Egyptian markings and the British out of service “Opposing Broad Arrow” stamp. Good all original condition with moderate exterior wear one would expect. However it is in working order and has a very good bright bore with excellent rifling.
