Here's your chance to celebrate the 4th of July in style. For sale is a Winchester Model 1898 10 ga. Signal Cannon, Breech Loading, in original wooden shipping container. Fires 10 ga. blanks only. Built under license to Winchester by Bellmore-Johnson. The left of the barrel is marked “MFG. BY THE BELLMORE – JOHNSON TOOL CO. / HAMDEN, CT. U.S.A. – UNDER LICENSE FROM – / _WINCHESTER_ DIV., OLIN CORP.” and with the serial number. The top is marked “USE 10 GA. BLANK ONLY”. Each side of the carriage has “W.R.A.Co / TRADE MARK / MADE IN U.S.A.” cast into the outside.
In excellent firing condition, bluing and finish is +95%. With 3 boxes (75) 10 gauge Black Powder Blank cartridges. 11-3/4" round barrel. Measures approximately 16-1/2" long by 7-1/4" tall.
