Features include a bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp machined from S7 tool steel which is commonly used in jackhammer tips. S7 is often referred to as “Shock-Resisting Tool Steel” given its toughness which allows it a high maximum shock resistance and high compression strength while retaining its shape and toughness. Also featured is a 4140 steel bolt which is carburized. This means the bolt is case hardened to a higher hardness level while the core remains sufficiently ductile to prevent cracking .
