MERRILL BALTO. over PAT. JULY 1858 over APL. 9 MAY 21-28-61 with the serial number, 3351, at the tail. The barrel has an even plum finish and the lock shows traces of its case hardened finish. The brass band, trigger guard, patch box, and butt plate have an even aged patina. The sling bar and ring are present. The lightly sanded and refinished stock is fine with no cracks or chips and no visible cartouche. The action functions correctly.
