An Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued Merrill Carbine

Description:
An Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued Merrill Carbine In Very Nice All Original Condition. Serial # 13,354, all matching numbers. All original and complete. The carbine has very nice metal and markings throughout. It is dated on the lock 1863 on the left and is marked "J.H. MERRILL BALTO/PAT. JULY 1858/APL. 9 MAY 21-28-61 on the right. The top of the breech lever is marked "J.H. MERRILL, BALTO/PAT. JULY 1858" All of the metal on the carbine has an even natural darkening patina throughout it. All screws are nice on the gun. The brass trigger guard and barrel band are nice and untouched. All of the wood on the carbine is fine with nice edges with light wear. It has a fine even color throughout it. There is a clear U.S. Inspectors Cartouche On the backside of the wood above the saddle bar. The carbine has a fine bore and action. This Is A Fine Very Nice Example Of An Early 1863 Dated U.S. Civil War Military Issued Merrill Carbine!
